If you're starting your warrior journey, here are 4 essential punches to start the fight fitness field of training.
There's no doubt that the warriors we see in some of our favorite anime series can execute fast and powerful punches. These warriors make it look effortless when they punch through targets but that is not the case for our reality. It's imperative to master the basic punches by learning the proper technique and to build punching power before you even think about striking any target. Here are the 4 essential punches to get you started in the field of fight fitness.
4 Essential Punches for Fight Fitness
Jab Punch - Also known as the fake or distraction punch.
Cross Punch - Also known as the straight knock-out punch.
Hook Punch - The rotational punch.
Uppercut Punch - The more difficult punch to master that is executed in close range.
Super Saikou Tip
Mastering all four punches will take months or even years of training to master. If you're just starting your journey, practice these punches with shadow boxing. Once you master the technique, then you can progressively make your way to striking a punching bag or mitts with a trained coach.
How Many Times Should Warriors Train Punches?
Those of you just starting your journey, you can practice shadow boxing for about 20-30 minutes a day for 3x/week. As you continue to master the craft, training can be increased to 30-60 minutes a day for 3-5x/week.
