There's no doubt that anime characters have their own unique abilities and traits. Monkey D. Luffy is one of those anime characters that not only possesses a special ability to stretch his limbs as if he was made of rubber but can also lift maximal weight and execute punches and kicks with unbelievable power. Whether it's Luffy taking on Captain Buggie one-on-one or Luffy battling it out with his own grandfather, we see the strength, power, speed and agility in this spirited pirate and there's no doubt that some of us yearn to gain some of these abilities.This anime inspired full body calisthenics workout will challenge warriors to train some of the calisthenics essentials to help build the elements to fight like a pirate warrior; strength, power, speed and agility.
Workout Implementation:
To maintain balance between all other training practices, it’s recommended to complete a calisthenics workout at least 3x/week at minimum.
Training Equipment:
Pull up bar
Plyo-box
Calisthenics Workout Details:
Complete 10-15 repetitions for each exercise
Complete 3-4 sets for each superset
Rest 60-90 seconds between each superset
Calisthenics Workout:
Superset 1: Elevated Push Ups + Jump Squats
Superset 2: Swimmers + Plank Jacks
Superset 3: Decline Push Ups + Broad Jumps
Exercise Alternatives:
If some of the exercises are too advance or equipment is limited, below are some exercise alternatives to regress a movement.
Elevated push up > Wall push up
Jump squats > Squat to knee raise
Decline push up > Pike presses
Broad jumps > Squat hold walks
