Learn how to move and fight like one of Dragon Ball's strongest human warriors, Krillin with this Fight Fit Workout, Super Sapien.

This Fight Fit workout was inspired by one of the human Dragon Ball characters, Krillin. Although Krillin never achieved the power levels of a saiyan, Krillin still achieved unbelievable strength, power and endurance for a human warrior. Just like Krillin, we also can unlock and achieve our max potential as human warriors. This fight fit workout, Super Sapien, will challenge human warriors to complete three rounds that include some of the fighting essentials.

Workout Benefits:

Workout Implementation:

To maintain balance between all other training practices, it’s recommended to complete a fight fit workout at least 3x/week at minimum.

Training Equipment:

Punching Bag

Boxing Gloves

Hand wraps

Warm Up:

Complete a 5 minute warm up or complete Initial Mile's Total Body Warm Up.

Cool Down:

Complete a 5 minute cool down or complete Initial Mile's Chi Flow Yoga Routine.

The Workout:

Round 1: Cross + Hook + Cross + Bob and Weave + Cross + Uppercut + Hook

Round 2: Jab + Cross + Right and Left Knee + Hook + Front Kick + Round House Kick

Round 3: Jab + Cross + Hook + Cross + Spin Back Kick

Clinch Exercise: Squat Shoulder Press

Coach Saikou Notes:

  • Pay attention and alternate kicking legs after each execution where noted to. This will help maintain balance for strength, coordination and skill.

  • When executing punches, always return each punch back to your chin.

  • Pivot the grounded foot when executing the round house kick.

  • Thrust hips forward when executing knees for more hip driven power.

  • When executing the spin back kick, look over the kicking leg shoulder. For example, rotate to your right, looking over your right shoulder and kick back with your right leg and vice versa.

  • Utilize medium weight for the clinch exercise.
