Frequently Asked Questions:
Are Temporary Food Facility (TFF) Permits required?
Yes. Each food vendor is responsible for paying and obtaining a TFF permit. Each food booth will be reviewed by the County of Santa Clara Health Department.
How much does a TFF permit cost?
Fees can vary based on what you're selling. It can range from $128 to $244. Please click here to view the complete details from the County of Santa Clara.
What can I expect from a health inspection?
Health inspections can vary for each event and vendor. Our previous inspector looked for tarps to cover the gress, measured the temperatures of food, looked for handwashing stations for the food vendors who were cooking on festival grounds, reviewing labels for prepackged foods and assured that each food vendor had their temporary food permit placed in front of their booth.
What does a handwashing station require?
Do food vendors selling prepackaged goods require a handwashing station?
No.
Is this event indoors or outdoors?
This is an outdoor event that will take place on a large grass field. Please plan accordingly.
What does the vendor layout look like?
While the official vendor layout has not yet been finalized, we can confirm that vendors will form a single file perimiter of the event space and everyone's booth will have a clear, unobstructed view. Food vendors will all be placed in a specified row to allow convenient viewing and ordering for our guests.
I'm just starting out as a small business and this will be my first event. Can I still apply?
Absolutely! As long as your business aligns with our theme, we would love to have you start your vendor adventure with us at our second annual event.
Can I have a representative host my booth if I am personally unable to attend?
We highly suggest our small businesses owners be present at their booth to build a stronger relationship with our guests, however we understand life does happen and will allow a representative to host your booth contingent on your representative understands the process of setting up a permitted booth and understands which documents to have prepared for the County of Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health. Please email us their name and contact info ahead of time.
When will we receive our booth placement?
We will send out a map of our festival and your booth placement at least one week ahead before the event.
